In this talk we will give a new metric characterization of the class of Banach spaces admitting an equivalent norm of Rolewicz’s property ($\beta$). Applications regarding the stability of property ($\beta$) under coarse Lipschitz embeddings and nonlinear quotients will be discussed.

人简介：

张晟，西南交通大学数学科学学院讲师；2008年本科毕业于122cc太阳集成游戏，2016年博士毕业于Texas A&M University，师从国际著名泛函分析专家William B. Johnson。张晟博士主要从事Banach空间非线性理论方面的研究，在度量几何取得了一系列重要成果，在包括J. London Math. Soc.，J. Funct. Anal.，Israel J. Math.，Proc. Amer. Math. Soc.等在内的重要国际刊物上发表论文多篇。
