报告摘要:In this talk, I will talk about a geometric way to construct representations of Lie groups. Kirillov's coadjoint orbit method suggests that (unitary) irreducible representations can be constructed as geometric quantization of coadjoint orbits of the group. Except for a lot of evidence, the quantization scheme meets strong resistance in the case of noncompact semisimple groups. I will give a new perspective on the problem using deformation quantization of symplectic varieties and their Lagrangian subvarieties. This is joint work in progress with Conan Leung.

报告人简介:余世霖,2007年本科毕业于复旦大学,2013年博士毕业于宾夕法尼亚州立大学,先后在宾夕法尼亚州立大学、香港中文大学、德州农工大学做Hans Rademacher Instructor、博士后、访问助理教授;研究方向有Noncommutative Geometry, Representation Theory, Symplectic Geometry, Complex/Algebraic Geometry, Derived Geometry,已在《Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.》、《Journal of Noncommutative Geometry》、《Advances in Math.》等发表论文多篇。
